Normani Faces Backlash After Starring In Chris Brown’s Music Video ‘WE (Warm Embrace)’: Where Is The Solidarity W/ Domestic Violence Victims
Looks like everyone isn’t here for Normani’s latest role as Chris Brown’s leading lady.
Chris Brown, 33, is preparing to drop his tenth studio album “Breezy,” which is set to be released on June 24. Ahead of the album’s release, Chris Brown recently premiered a music video for one of the project’s singles entitled “WE (Warm Embrace).” The spicy video stars singer Normani, 26.
After the music video was released, critics quickly took to Twitter to express their disappointment in Normani for working with Chris Brown. As you may already know, earlier in his career the father-of-3 had many controversial moments including a domestic dispute with his then-girlfriend Rihanna, 34. The incident went down on February 8, 2009, and left Rihanna with visible facial injuries, which required hospitalization. In June of that year, Chris pleaded guilty to a felony and accepted a plea deal of community labor, five years of probation, and domestic violence counseling.

Many people called Normani out for working with someone that has a past history of being violent towards women. However, others pointed out that Rihanna has seemingly forgiven Chris and Normani isn’t the only celebrity that has worked with the Virginia native since the infamous dispute took place.
